Joe Bailey and Ann McQuesten bring a wealth of knowledge in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions and business strategy. Joe is known for his practical, common-sense approach to complex deals, advising clients through mergers and acquisitions, and helping them access investments from private equity, venture capital, family office and angel investors; and negotiate debt financings with banks and other lenders.

Ann McQuesten is an expert in business transactions, corporate governance, securities compliance, and general business counseling. She leads multi-disciplinary teams to efficiently execute strategies for achieving clients' critical business objectives. Ann works with clients to develop a legal structure and compliance framework for their business, beginning with incorporation through all stages of growth. She regularly guides companies and investors through equity and debt financing transactions, including seed-stage, angel, venture capital, and private equity investments. She also represents buyers and sellers in mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, and other liquidity events.

Ricardo Lopez is Business Oregon’s Investment Strategist and runs the Oregon Growth Board, an entity designed to fill capital gaps by investing State Lottery proceeds in private markets. Ricardo is in charge of two private investment portfolios; one return oriented and one prioritizing economic development. Prior to taking on the role, he worked as an investment analyst for the Oregon State Treasury and as investment associate for consulting firm, RVK, Inc. Ricardo is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst  (CAIA) charter holder and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance as well as a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Portland.
